So it’s been a little while since I’ve written, and there’s a lot to talk about, but I want to start by just giving an overview of the past few weeks. And then I’ll be writing next week about all that God’s been teaching me.
Training started last Monday down in Gainesville, Georgia, and God was definitely at work in the lives of all the members of our team. We not only grew all spiritually as individuals, learning about ourselves as people, but we also grew very close as a team. I can tell you that right off the bat all the guys on our team bonded like a brotherhood of Godly men. It has been one of the most genuinely spirutual relationships I’ve ever had, to be around the other guys on my team. What’s so amazing is that we are all so different. We have quiet people, outgoing people, we have people who are amazing at building relationships with others, we have problem solvers, we have a lot of musicians, but also other gifts of helping behind the scenes and being a quiet servant. Your prayers for our group have definitely been answered here! Although there are only 7 guys and 34 girls, it is clear that God has big plans to use these man of God as leaders and pillars of strength this year. Living in tight quarters is not always going to be easy, and I know there will be challenges that threaten to break apart our unity. But I love my brothers in Christ very much, and we are daily praying together and challenging each other to grow to their limits these nine months.
And wow that is only the beginning, I have so much more to talk about! God has truly been doing an amazing work in my heart and the hearts of everyone on our team. I am exciting to continue sharing. Later today we’re traveling to a camping sight in South Africa for the weekend, but I’ll be back to tell everyone how it went on Tuesday! Thanks everyone for your prayers and God bless!
